India celebrates 61st Republic Day !

We are proud to celebrate our india's 61st republic day..

& this year every indian celebrates with double joy & happiness,because January 24th, 2010 marks the 60th anniversary of ‘Jana Gana Mana’ being recognized as our national anthem.

and with that Joy, i celebrated with tricolors..

Vasant Panchami - Saraswathi devi pooja(jan-20-2010)

Today we celebrated Shri Panchami

it is also called as Saraswati devi Jayanti.
firstly..we clean up the house.. A stool is decorated with rangoli and idol of saraswathi devi is placed on it & is decorated with flowers...

books, pens and other stationery items are placed before the goddess, this indicates that the goddess is blessing the books placed infront of her..

we offered gulab jamun,garelu,panchamrutham,thulasi theertham and other naivedyam to the godess..
thus saraswati devi pooja ends with harathi.
we pray God Saraswathi to get her blessings to get good and positive results,success in exams,Best of knowledge,Education,Art,crafts,Culture.....

It’s a solar wonder...

First annular solar eclipse of 2010 on Jan 15

I doesnt want to miss the “ once-in-a-lifetime moment”.
so i clicked my camera to capture the special phenomenon..
here at our place the eclipse is start at around 11.30am and end at around 3pm...

the eclipse is partial- a crescent sun, its just look like moon
I cropped the pictures & created collage .
Everyone is highly excited , small children especially.

i have seen through certified solar eclipse special goggles
The last annular eclipse visible in India occurred on November 23, 1965
&The next one is a decade away..
The next annular eclipse will occur on December 26, 2019

It was a thrilling & unique experience.

yummy & tempting Specials like pongal ,traditional sweet(ariselu), crispy chakralu(janthikalu)reminding a festive season...
the beautiful snow.
Family get together....it was real fun.
